【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesasatisfactorymeansofdeterminingtherelativeefficiencyofaerosolformulationswhenappliedasdirectspraystocockroaches.Itisnotdesignedtomeasuretheresidualaction.Asabiologicaltest,itissubjecttothevariationsthataccompanythereactionsoflivingorganisms.Itshouldbeemployedunderthesupervisionofpersonnelfamiliarwiththebiologicaltestingofinsecticides.Inordertomeasuretheeffectivenesswithreasonabletolerance,thetestisruninconjunctionwiththeOfficialTestAerosolII(OTAII)2asthestandardbasisofcomparison.AnotherstandardthatmaybeusedwiththistestmethodistheTentativeOfficialAqueousPressurizedSpray(TOAPS).21.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheeffectivenessofaerosolandpressurizedsprayinsecticidesagainstcockroaches.1.2Testdatabythistestmethodmayalsobeadequatetosupportclaimsforuseoftheproducttocontroltheexposedoraccessiblestagesofsilverfish,ants,centipedes,spiders,andcertainstoredproductpests.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifanyassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
