【摘要】:ThistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthecompatibilityofcommercialSCAandcommercialethyleneandpropyleneglycolenginecoolantconcentrates.Thistestmethodfocusesonthesolubilityofspecificchemicalspeciesformedintheenginecoolant.Theshortdurationofthetest(24h),amongotherrestrictions,makesthetestmethodoflimiteduseforsortingoutavarietyofchemicalcompatibilityproblemsinwhichacomponentoftheSCAmayreactwithacomponentofthecoolantadditivepackage.Thetestascurrentlywrittenalsodoesnotdealwiththeissueofhardwatercompatibility,inwhichacomponentofthecoolantorSCAadditivepackagereactswiththehardness(CaandMg)toformaprecipitate.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
