【摘要】:Thequantitativedeterminationof2,6-ditertiary-butylparacresoland2,6-ditertiary-butylphenolinanewelectricalinsulatingoilmeasurestheamountofthismaterialthathasbeenaddedtotheoilasprotectionagainstoxidation.Inausedoilitmeasurestheamountremainingafteroxidationhasreduceditsconcentration.Thetestisalsosuitableformanufacturingcontrolandspecificationacceptance.Whenaninfraredspectrumisobtainedofanelectricalinsulatingoilinhibitedwitheitherofthesecompoundsthereisanincreaseinabsorbanceofthespectrumatseveralwavelengths(orwavenumbers).2,6ditertiary-butylparacresolproducespronouncedincreasesinabsorbanceat2.72x03BC;m(3650cmx2212;1),and11.63x03BC;m(860cmx2212;1).2,6ditertiary-butylphenolproducespronouncedincreasesinabsorbanceat2.72x03BC;m(3650cmx2212;1)and13.42x03BC;m(745cmx2212;1).Whenmakingthistestonotherthanahighlyoxidizedoilorwhenusingadouble-beamspectrophotometer,ithasbeenfoundconvenienttoobtainthespectrumbetween2.5x03BC;m(4000cmx2212;1)and2.9x03BC;m(3450cmx2212;1)becausetheinstrumentiscompensatedforthepresenceofmoistureandthebandisnotinfluencedbyintermolecularforces(associations).However,whentestingahighlyoxidizedoilorwhenusingasingle-beaminstrumentbetterresultsmaybeobtainedifthescanismadebetween10.90x03BC;m(918cmx2212;1)and14.00x03BC;m(714cmx2212;1).Increasedabsorptionat11.63x03BC;m(860cmx2212;1)or13.42x03BC;m(745cmx2212;1)orboth,willidentifytheinhibitoras2,6-ditertiary-butylparacresolor2,6-ditertiary-butylphenolrespectively(Note1).Note18212;Theabsorbanceat745cmx2212;1for2,6-ditertiary-butylphenolandat860cmx2212;1for2,6-ditertiary-butylparacresolforequalconcentrationswillbeintheapproximateratioof2.6to1.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheweightpercentof2,6-ditertiary-butylparacresol(DBPC)and2,6-ditertiary-butylphenol(DBP)inneworusedelectricalinsulatingoilinconcentrationsupto0.5%bymeasuringitsabsorbanceatthespecifiedwavelengthsintheinfraredspectrum.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
